A lot of supplements on the market claim to help with menopause symptoms. Maca is of the few scientifically proven to work. But maca isn't some manufactured supplement from a lab. It's a root vegetable from the mountains of Peru and has been used for centuries to help balance hormones and ease the symptoms of menopause. One study showed that taking 3 grams of maca per day for 12 weeks significantly reduced hot flashes and night sweats in menopausal women.
